"Twenty-five MBA students from Tulane University escorted by Professor Mr. Yiorgos Bakamitsos visited Atlas Maritime’s premises to learn about the shipping industry and its practices. during their visit to Atlas, our Technical and Safety & Quality staff presented the Safety Management System and gave them an overview of the technical, as well as the operational, safety and environmental procedures of managing & operating oil tankers, while our finance team gave a presentation on shipping finance and how it has evolved over the past three years. The class was very impressed not only by the presentation given but also from the display of Greek hospitality by our entire office. Most of the students based in Houston, Texas have careers in the oil and gas industry and are members of large corporations such as BP, Chevron, ExxonMobil, and even NASA!"
